Labor of Love
Cory Doctorow, writing about Boing Boing in Information doesn't want to be free:
From the beginning, Boing Boing (and even bOING bOING) has been a labor of love. I write it because it's my major way of thinking through the stuff that matters to me. It's a repository of all my thoughts and inspirations, my public notebook and my soapbox. The other editors feel much the same way. Many times over the years, we've turned down large sums of money from would-be buyers because they went against that ethos.
