Consistency
Consistency is an essential habit for both personal and professional life.
Seth Godin recently published his 10,000th post on his blog. Honing your craft and finding your voice takes time—as it certainly did for Seth. As Ailian Gan wrote years ago:
Before he was Seth Godin, marketer extraordinaire, spreader of ideas, blogger who posts awesome content every single day to a gigantic readership, before all that he was Seth Godin of 2002, beginner blogger.

Scroll forward, way forward, we are talking roughly 2006 where Seth Godin hits his stride. He starts to sound like the Seth of today. His posts take on that style where he takes something specific, draws some kind of analogy, and makes a bigger point. He provokes and inspires in equal measure. By this point, he is posting every single day.(…)
So if you are just starting out and you think nobody really reads your work and you’re writing duds half the time that really shouldn’t see the light of day, keep posting. Keep posting.
The best moment to start that thing you are delaying was in the past. The second-best is today. But after you start, you must keep going. There will be setbacks. You’ll need to set aside your ego and stand back up when you lose your stride. You’ll need to put in the work—consistently—day after day, no matter how you feel, and regardless of whether conditions are perfect.
