Delaying difficult decisions rarely makes problems fade away.
We sometimes wait because the situation we are trying to solve is not that pressing. We see the problem but we rationalize our lack of courage as prudence.
One day, the decision cannot be postponed anymore. It now takes more courage because things got more complicated and harder to solve than if we had faced the problem weeks, months, or even years ago.
Time alone rarely fixes things. Facing problems will avoid unnecessary pain in the future. For organizations, facing problems is what leaders do.
Take inventory of the things you are evading.
